Uranus

"The bulls-eye planet"

See All Stories

Uranus, named after the Greek god of the heavens, is the sixth-smallest planet in our solar system. Often referred to as “the bulls-eye planet” due to the orientation of its rings making it appear as a bulls-eye. Features of the planet include a surface composed of water, methane, and ammonia fluids.

The planet has only been visited by a single spacecraft, Voyager 2, which visited for a total of six hours.

Traditional life here has been deemed as unlikely due to the harsh conditions and makeup of the planet.
