Tonight, October 8, is the peak of October’s Draconid meteor shower, also known as Giacobinids. This is a smaller meteor shower than some, but could certainly be worth a look!

At 10:16 pm Eastern Time, a Meteor lit up the sky over Florida. The meteors large streak was spotted by people across central and south Florida.

While we all ring in the New Year around the world throughout the night with fireworks, Earth will be celebrating with the final meteor shower of the season. Quadrantid is one of the most vibrant meteor showers and will peak during the night of January 2.
