About the Author

Nicholas D'Alessandro

Nick began pursuing spaceflight journalism when he moved to the Space Coast of Florida in 2020. As a Florida native, rockets and space exploration captured his interest from a young age with fond memories of the Space Shuttle program in the 90s. Nick combines this love with a penchant for photography, and began documenting history with SpaceX’s DM-2 mission and America’s return to crewed launches.

Nick’s documenting efforts are now bi-coastal, with a special focus on Starship development at the SpaceX Boca Chica testing site in South Texas. Nick was captivated and drawn to the area after first travelling there for the SN8 launch, and has been back for every launch event since.
