SpaceX stacked its Starship rocket late this week ahead of rumors the FAA will be granting SpaceX another launch soon. While the launch might be another week or so out, the latest step SpaceX has made is attaching flight termination charges on the rocket.

The two founders of Astra Space, Chris Kemp and Adam London, have sent a proposal to the company’s board to take it private with a $30 million valuation. This comes about a week into the search for new funds before its bridge loan comes due on November 17.

Virgin Galactic announced this week it laid off about 185 employees, 18% of its workforce, to better streamline the development of its Delta-class spaceplane. The company also announced during its earnings call that it will begin to slow its flights down before pausing them all together.

This week SpaceX hoisted up and attached a new crew access arm at the company’s SLC-40 pad. The addition of a second crew tower gives SpaceX the flexibility to launching at either of their East Coast launch sites.

Last week Astra Space, a space launch and engine company, defaulted on its debt leading to the need to take on a short term funding round in hope it can find more before running out of cash. The company has been struggling for the past year to keep its stock price above the $1.00 mark and get its Rocket 4 developed.

ABL Space Systems announced Monday that the FAA closed its mishap investigation into the anomaly that took place during its inaugural RS1 launch. The company now has a list of corrective actions to go through before it can attempt to launch its rocket again.

This week we have four launches from SpaceX and from both coats. Not just that, but two of the launches this week will feature RTLS landings. That means only one thing, non-Starlink launches!
